The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) has the rights to express their thoughts, opinions for their religion, but they should respect also the rights of the others.
I don't think the Separation of the church from the state was not violated. Because, the government didn't even think that the complaint is against any church or religion. It is against the person. And the Government conduct a preliminary investigation to look for the basic facts. The government concern was the human rights of the person and not to become involved in the church issues.
The 1987 Constitution of the Philippines declares: The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable. (Article II, Section 6), and, No law shall be made respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or preference, shall forever be allowed. No religious test shall be required for the exercise of civil or political rights. (Article III, Section 5).
I'm a catholic. I have nothing against the Iglesia Ni Cristo. But I think the issue that they're fighting is not about the religion. It is the human rights of the person. Not even the rally of the Iglesia Ni Cristo can stop the investigation by the government. The INC should know their responsibilities and obligations as a human. They should respect the rights of others. Church issues is for the church. Leader of the church should be the one who will fix the issues. Any internal issues within a church should never be publicized.
